ok so, long story. i started dating my ex back in june of 2006. we were so in love. we loved each other more then life more then anything ever. thing is, we both have insecurities and issues. i was very possesive and jealous and she had a hard time being honest so i couldnt trust her. she has had a very troubled childhood so i understand why she acted the way she did. well things got really bad and hurt eachother very bad but still continued to stay togehter. that lasted about a year and a half. finally we broke it off for good in decmeber of 2007 and stopped talking in janurary 2008. this whole time i havent gotten over her and she hasnt fully gotten over me either. we started talking and actually met up and had sex a couple nights ago. now i want her back but all of our friends and family would disown us. her family hates me with a passion. shes afraid of liking me again because of how bad our relationship was and she doesnt want to get back together because she said she would lose her whole family. i dont know what to do. i feel like i cant live without her right now. i dont think ill ever get over her. i think i still love her alot. i know we could work out if she gets some help, which she said she is. i just want to be with her again and be able to trust her and be happy again. i feel like dying. i know i shouldnt want her back. but i do, i cant help it. she was my first love and i cant see myself being with anyone else or loving anyone else like i did her. please i need help. and no rude remarks please. i feel bad enough as it is

i think you are drawn to the intensity, not what is good for you. sometimes, you want to change the situation and prove to the other person that you can be someone else, but the truth it, you are always the same. your jealousy or insecurity will not just go away, nor will her desire to be covert and deceptive.

Before this summer me and my ex decided to take a break, her reason: We don’t get to see eachother. Well after that her friend told me it wasn’t a break we were just broken up for good. How do I impress or get my ex back, since I still have feelings for her. All answers are appreciated

i was in the same spot 7 years ago, i tried the exact same thing ur doing. heres how it played out, she was seeing another guy, she didnt want to tell me because she still wanted the option to keep me close by just in case, which later turned into using me to make her other guy jelous. My adivce save urself the trouble, the pain, and ur sanity and move on.

Hi, I just need some advice to whether or not you think I can get my ex back. Me and my ex of 4 years broke up about a month ago, he said he just needed time and space, but about a week and a half later he was already talking and soon dating another girl. Last week he started calling me again and telling me he missed me and couldn’t stop thinking about me. We have talked on and off since then. But on Sunday he called and we talked some more and everything was ok, but i told him that I couldn’t do this anymore, and that he needed to make a decision and if he really liked me as much as he was saying he did then he needed to break up with his girlfriend before I could hang out or talk to him anymore. Or I told him that if he wanted to be with her then he needed to leave me alone, because i can’t be just friends with him and him talking to me and acting like everything was ok was hurting me to bad. So i told him not to call or text me until he has made a decision. So I didn’t hear from him all day monday and then monday night he called. I was so excited but still didn’t want to get my hopes up, but he told me that he broke up with her and wanted to know if i would come out so we could talk. I was just so excited and happy that of course I went out there. Everything was fine at first and we talked and he told me he missed me and stuff, then we had sex. I know it was stupid but, I honestly thought everything was going to be ok. So afterwards we talked a little bit, but then he started acting weird and told me that he just felt weird and it didn’t feel right. I didn’t know if it was b/c we havn’t seen each other in so long or if he still had feeling for the other girl or what. But I left and we talked later, he told me that he was so sorry and didn’t plan on that to happen, he didn’t want me to feel like he used me, even tho it seemed like he did, but he said he did miss me and wanted to try and get back together, but he felt like i was only a friend, he didn’t know if it would change someday or what, but he said he didn’t want to hurt me anymore and he was so sorry. Now I’m even more upset then before, I know that I should’t have went out there so soon and did that, but now i do feel like i have been rejected and used and I just want to be back with him so bad and now he wont even talk to me. I don’t know what to do. I know that I want to the no contact rule and stick with the plan, but did i ruin my chance with getting him back or is there still hope. Please help me!

He seems like he’s jerking you around, ask him flat out what he wants and if he says that he wants you then cool. If he’s not sure then forget about him. Forgive yourself too, you had sex, oh well, it’s over with now. Don’t let guys jerk you around like that, it will be hard because you want him back but think about what you wrote, do you want a guy playing with your head like that? Good on you for trying to stick to your guns also, if you really want to not talk to him again, you won’t, just believe in yourself.
